Ever since We bought our cottage in North Cornwall over eight years ago I've walked the footpath around Delabole quarry taking in the great views across Cornwall. These run down & forgotten farm buildings have always had me thinking about who lived there or why this lovely place was allowed to become a ruin. I've taken many photographs from a distance in all weathers & for years wanted to explore the ruins & finally in January this year on a wet & very windy day finally got to achive this. These are just a few of those images.

So awesome Dave, I find these abandoned places so moving as once upon a time it was someone's whole life, now forgotten. We saw some similar images out west with abandoned towns and old mines. xxjen
